Eurofins in China started offering central laboratory services in 2003 and its own Central Laboratory facility was established in May 2008. This addition to the network makes Eurofins Global Central Laboratory one of the top global central laboratory operators in the world, with a total of 6 wholly-owned laboratories in United States, the Netherlands, France, Singapore，China and more recently India. With these laboratories, Eurofins Global Central Laboratory can now offer customers a bespoke package of the highest quality central laboratory services worldwide.

The Central Laboratory in Eurofins started its first China lab in Suzhou and earned its NGSP Level 1 certification in June 2008 and CAP accreditation in May 2009 respectively.

The Central Laboratory facility relocated from Suzhou to Shanghai in May 2010 in response to the rapid increase in clinical trials being conducted in the country and the need to meet the special (mainly regulatory) requirements the industry faces in running clinical trials in China.

Eurofins is also one of the very few international companies to have established a fully-owned and managed Central Laboratory to serve its customers in China.
